Makassarviral.com, Makassar, Thursday, 17/09/2026 — Kapolres Bulukumba AKBP Luckyto Stephanus officiated the swearing‑in of Kompol Haedar Muis as the new Chief of Gantarang Police Station, replacing retiring AKBP Purn. Abdul Kadir.
New leadership appointed at Gantarang Police Station
The ceremony took place in the yard of Mapolsek Gantarang and was attended by Wakapolres Bulukumba Kompol Syafaruddin, senior officers, precinct chiefs, enlisted personnel and members of the Bhayangkari women’s organization, including branch chair Indah Luckyto.
During the oath‑taking, Kompol Haedar Muis was officially entrusted with leading the Gantarang precinct after serving in the Criminal Investigation Directorate of South Sulawesi Police.
The former officer, AKBP Purn. Abdul Kadir, bid farewell in a simple handover ceremony that included the district head, the Gantarang KUA chief, village leaders and other guests.
In his address, the Kapolres Bulukumba stressed that appointments within the police are part of organizational development and aim to improve service quality, performance and public trust. “This is not merely a personnel change or a transfer of duty, but part of the organization’s effort to enhance the quality of service, performance, and community trust in the Police Institution,” he said, Thursday, 17/09/2026.
He emphasized that the position of police chief is highly strategic because the chief represents the police closest to the community.
The new chief was asked to conduct internal consolidation, get to know all members, understand the area’s characteristics, map potential security disturbances and build strong communication with stakeholders in Gantarang District.
To the retiring officer, the Kapolres expressed appreciation for his dedication and service during his tenure.
The Kapolres hopes the new leadership will continue and improve the positive work already done, strengthening police services and maintaining security and order in Gantarang District.
The swearing‑in marks a key moment in the police organization and reinforces the commitment to deliver the best service to the community in the Bulukumba police jurisdiction.
