Indonesia and ILO Launch Decent Work Program 2026–2030

Makassarviral.com, Makassar, Kamis, 29/10/2026 — The government, employers, workers’ unions and the International Labour Organization signed a declaration on the National Decent Work Program for 2026–2030 in Jakarta.

“Program ini merupakan komitmen nasional, bukan hanya agenda ILO,” kata Yassierli, Minister of Manpower, Kamis, 29/10/2026.

National Commitment and Stakeholders

The Ministry of Manpower, Apindo, the confederation of workers’ unions and ILO are the parties to the declaration.

“Indonesia has about 155 million workers, with roughly 60 percent in the informal sector,” said Yassierli, Minister of Manpower, Kamis, 29/10/2026.

Three Program Agendas

The first agenda strengthens institutionalized social dialogue among government, employers and workers.

The second agenda promotes productive and inclusive employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The third agenda focuses on universal and adaptive social protection.

Yassierli said employment policies need to respond to digitalization, artificial intelligence, green transition and demographic changes.

The five‑year roadmap will be implemented jointly by the Ministry of Manpower, other ministries, regional governments, employers, workers’ unions and ILO.

The program marks Indonesia’s fourth Decent Work Country Programme.
