Makassarviral.com, Makassar, Senin, 02/11/2026 — OJK approved the merger of three BPRs into PT BPR Arthaguna Mandiri to strengthen the BPR sector in Indonesia.
Merger Consolidates Three BPRs
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has given its approval for the merger of PT BPR Sejahteraartha Sembada, PT BPR Mitra Rakyat Riau and PT BPR Mitradana Madani into PT BPR Arthaguna Mandiri.
This step aims to boost consolidation within the BPR industry and improve its structural resilience.
“Consolidation is not only about creating a larger scale but also about building a stronger, healthier and more sustainable institution,” said Darwisman, Head of OJK West Java, Senin, 02/11/2026.
Legal Basis and Objectives
The merger follows the implementation of Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening.
The law mandates the reinforcement of the financial services industry’s structure and competitiveness.
The approval letter was handed over at the OJK West Java office and the merger has become effective.
With a sturdier foundation the merged entity is expected to operate more efficiently, expand financing reach and better serve the community.
Post‑Merger Monitoring
OJK will continue to supervise and guide the integration process to ensure compliance with regulations, prudence principles and client interests.
The regulator also urges management to generate real synergies beyond administrative integration.
Expected synergies cover operational strength, human resources, governance, technology and public services.
Impact on the Economy
The consolidated BPR is positioned to support micro, small and medium enterprises and productive sectors more optimally, contributing to broader financial inclusion and regional as well as national economic growth.
OJK remains committed to fostering a healthier, more resilient, efficient and competitive BPR sector within the financial services landscape.
The merger marks a strategic move toward a more robust BPR ecosystem in Indonesia.
